BIOGRAPHICAL STUFF:

Born in Montclair, I have lived my entire life in good old New Jersey. I was a classical guitar major at William Paterson University, and a top instructor at the prestigious Academy of Musical Arts in Upper Montclair NJ. I was also an instructor at the Frank Richards Music Center in Livingston NJ for a number of years.

For more than 2 decades, I was President of Sound Connection Inc. (SCI) a music instruction publishing firm. Through SCI, I authored and internationally marketed 4 books and 12 guitar workshop courses on numerous aspects of guitar playing with CDs as well as a DVD covering guitar maintenance.

I authored “Guitar – Learn to play the music you love” edition from the Barnes & Noble Quamut series (available on-line at Barnes & Noble) and have been a guest columnist for Guitar World magazine.

I am certified in the field of music therapy as C.M.P., playing in both hospital and hospice settings. I’ve also been a board member of The Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP) as well as Director of Project Development for MHTP for 2 years.
